This page covers commonshore.com and the Commonshore workspace, run by Uxgency Inc, a Massachusetts corporation. It describes what the service stores today. When that changes, this page changes first.
Your account
You sign in with a Google account through Firebase Authentication. We store the account id, your email address, your name and profile picture as Google provides them, and when you first and last signed in. We don't see or store your Google password.
Your brand's record
A brand on Commonshore has a product record: products, packaging levels and their GTINs, every value you or a connected source provided (dimensions, shelf life, claims, copy and so on), where each value came from, and the answers you gave to questions a form asked. The brand also lists the email addresses of people allowed to join it. All of this is business data about products, not about consumers.
Files you drop in
- A distributor's template is read and filled in memory and returned to you. The file itself is not kept.
- An import, such as a GS1 Data Hub export, is read and the product facts in it are merged into your record. The file itself is not kept.
Don't drop in files that contain consumer or employee personal data. The service has no use for them.
Visits and signups
A Hustlin script may count visits to this site. It keeps a session id in the browser for that visit and doesn't receive what you type. When an account first signs in, Commonshore tells Hustlin that a signup happened, using a hashed id rather than your email. If you arrived through a tracked link, that link's code is kept in a first-party cookie for 30 days so the signup can be credited to it.
Who else holds the data
- Google Cloud (Firebase Authentication and Firestore) holds accounts and brand records.
- Vercel hosts the site and runs the code that fills your forms.
- Hustlin, also made by Uxgency Inc, a Massachusetts corporation, receives the visit and signup counts described above.
- If we send you a welcome or service email, SendGrid delivers it.
We don't sell any of it, and we don't use it to advertise to you.
What we don't do with your product data
Your product record is yours. We don't share it with other brands, distributors or retailers. Nothing leaves Commonshore for a distributor unless you download a filled form and send it, or connect a channel and ask Commonshore to submit to it.
Deleting your data
Email hello@commonshore.com from the address on the account and ask. We'll delete the account, and the brand's record if you're its owner, and confirm that we have.
Changes
We'll update the date at the top when this page changes. The terms cover how the service may be used.
